This is probably the riskiest thing I have done in ALL my life. I am about to bungie jump off a 1km high bridge.
I’ve seen terrible things happen and I am normally so careful of everything but I need to step out of my comfort zone and do something crazy… for once.
“Are you okay? You’re trembling like crazy!” my best friend, Cassie, asked cautiously.
“Yeah, I’ll be good,” I reply, not wanting to talk too much in case I might vomit. I’m actually terrified.
“Alright, you ready?” the constructer asks.
“Okay, 3… 2… 1!”
And I jump.
This BTN story is about the pictures of Pluto coming to Australia.
A little spaceship called New Horizons went out to take pictures of Pluto over a decade ago and now, on the 14th of July, we finally have the photos. Pluto was first discovered in 1930 by Clyde Tombaugh, who though it was a star but found that it was continuously moving. The dwarf planet is 5 billion kilometres away from earth which would take 6 000 years to travel by car!
A wonder I still have is could there possibly be another dwarf planet?
Why does my life have to be this way?
All the planets make fun of me because I’m so small, even some of the meteors taunt me too. I can’t help it though, I was made this way. The humans on earth come by just to take photos of me. Do you know how hard it is to have something whizz past you, take a photo, and leave when you haven’t had communication with anything at all? Another thing is that it’s freezing down here.
I think I’ll just spin off my orbit and go far into space where I’m out of everyone’s way.
